There are opportunities to work and to complete course assignments at the Children’s School. Over the years, the Children’s School has be a training site for students to learn many skills. Often, the Children’s School provides the first job for students who come to Sonoma State. The school also gives students from many disciplines to observe, participate and learn from the environment, the faculty and most importantly, the children.
Students and Rosebuds take garden scraps to the compost near the Environmental Tech Building.
Students learn much about supporting children as they learn to dig, weed, plant and grow.
Freshmen students assist children gathering seeds at the Organic Garden.
Each year, student assistants and faculty take part in the Sonoma County Evening of Honor of Early Childhood Educators.
